How to add a table in Blogger Post - Part 2

Now I am going to test adding a table in Blogger Post using the help seen here.

Column 1 Column 2
Column 1 Column 2
Column 1 Column 2
Column 1 Column 2

I have no problem changing back and force between "Edit HTML" and "Compose" for this code.  This one loads much faster, but it is not producing the "table" I was looking for.  Though I guess now I know how to create multiple columns if I want.

This is a no for me - from "Cup Cake War"

How to add a table in Blogger Post - Part 1

I wanted to post with a table on my main page, but I remembered that there wasn't a table button readily available when I used TypePad.  I was wondering if it's the same situation with Blogger.

I went to most people's best friend - http://www.google.com/ looking for some solution and found that while it's not impossible to add a table in Blogger Blogspot Post, it's not the easiest thing to do.  Certainly, there are many ways and many problems already discovered by others.

So I think I will test each and every solutions I found (and liked) before I decide what I want to do.

First method was from this site:

Col 1 Col 2 Col 3
cell 1-1 cell 1-2 cell 1-3
cell 2-1 cell 2-2 cell 2-3
cell 3-1 cell 3-2 cell 3-3
cell 4-1 cell 4-2 cell 4-3

Observation 1:

The original code contain 3 row and 3 columns. I added the 4th row and the only thing to notice is the last row starts with <tr"> instead of <tr>.

How to output html code as plain text on your post

Trick 1< br >:
  • replace < with &lt  and
  • replace > with &gt

I will add more tricks as I learn them (aka in need of using them...haha)

How Do I Create Expandable Posts in Blogger?

When I was surfing the internet yesterday, I saw someone charges a fee to converting a two column website to a three column layout.  Yes, for a very small fee, because my friends, it's a very simple task.  It's as easy as just clicking the tabs and selecting the desired layout.  Maybe I will do a tutorial on that (with pictures, ya...so you can follow along just fine) and perhaps save a couple of bucks too.  My way of contributing back to the internet world since I have gotten much help from it.

I still don't know anything about codes besides knowing them doing magic things when they are done correctly.  That's the extend I know about coding.  So really, that's not much...but I have grown to love playing with coding (not actually coding, but to make things happen by copy and past with directions shared by the talented people out there).  It's a great sense of accomplishment knowing that I can do little cool things like "How to create expandable posts in blogger?"

Who would have thought that I could do it?  Certainly, not me...I have seen it all the time, but never have a clue how that's done.  Well, check it out here and see the picture step-by-step tutorial I compiled.

How do I link a page to another site?

So I was thinking to add a "Free Video Tutorials" for stamping projects to my main blog (http://www.yoyostamping.blogspot.com/). The only way to do that is to add a tab / a page. However, a page is not like a main site where you may post as you make new projects. At the end of the day, a page is only a page. You may keep updating the page to make it look like multiple posts, but that's not really a solution in my head.

I remembered running into this exact same problem when I used TypePad (click here to see that page). What I did (when I wanted to add the tab "Free Video Tutorials") was to link the tab to another blog I created (which I made it looks the same). So from the outsider's eyes and my own, it looked like it worked well. I am sure it wasn't the smartest work-around.

How To Classify Blogger Labels?

So the title is not exactly what I typed in to Google Search when I was looking for tips in creating "Sub Labels" (that's how I called it) under Label for Blogger.

So I found this (Caution: It does take a bit to load, but I image it is because it contains a lot of useful information). I am going to test it here on this blog. To do so, I will need to add Label Cloud. If you go to the link and follow the instructions (by reading only), maybe you will want to stop like me too. However, I am going to try because if it does work, then I am going to use it on my main blogger page - http://www.yoyostamping.blogspot.com/. Now wouldn't that be something? hehe
